Tango update for the Nokia Lumia 900 4G.

There is no doubt that the Nokia Lumia 900 4G has an impressive resume and has even more impressive capabilities but one of the major pain points of the handset according to critics is its camera department. Some even go so far in saying that the camera of the Nokia Lumia 900 4G is one of the worst they’ve seen in a smartphone and on a flagship device no less. However, it looks like Nokia already has the means to improve the camera department of the handset and prove these critics wrong. Nokia’s ace up its sleeve? The soon to be released Tango update for the Nokia Lumia 900 4G.

We heard about the Tango update about a couple of days back and how it already shows on the Nokia servers but those who have found ways to get this flashed onto their devices swear that the camera of the Nokia Lumia 900 4G has improved after the update was applied. The most notable is the improved ISO performance of the handset’s camera which has kept overall image noise on stills captured by the Nokia Lumia 900 4G. Color and white balance also has become more accurate according to these early adopters. If you happen to rock a Nokia Lumia 900 4G for your mobile weapon of choice, you now have one more reason to be excited for the upcoming Tango update for the handset.

As for the Nokia Lumia 900 4G, the handset packs a QualComm APQ8055 SnapDragon chipset in its internals with a 1.4 GHz Scorpion processor and 512 MB of RAM. Storage space onboard the handset is 16GB while its display is a 4.3-inch AMOELD panel with a 480 x 800 resolution. The camera department of the Nokia Lumia 900 4G on the other hand features a rear 8MP shooter and a front 1.3MP snapper.

Another enhancement that the Tango update brings to the Nokia Lumia 900 4G is flip to silence functionality and the update is also expected to give the handset improvements to its performance and come with bug fixes to take care of issues on the device. In addition to that, the new firmware from Nokia that comes with this update will enable a user of the Nokia Lumia 900 4G to enjoy Nokia-exclusive applications such as Contact Share and Counters.

A reminder though for those Nokia Lumia 900 4G users waiting on the update – just because the Tango update is now on the servers of Nokia doesn’t necessarily mean that it is ready to be rolled out and will soon land on your handset. It could take days or it might take weeks but the important thing here is that the update is already there and is just waiting for the green light to commence its rollout. If you however can’t wait for the official rollout of the update, you have the option of downloading the update from Nokia’s servers and flashing it onto your phone. However, doing so is the surest and fastest way of voiding your warranty. But if you are into flashing and tinkering with your device, I’m pretty sure you know that already.
