Just recently, we heard that the Nokia City Lens application for the Nokia Lumia 900 has already exited Beta stage and is now available for download in the MarketPlace for users of the handset to take advantage of. For those not in the know, the City Lens app brings an augmented reality feature to the Nokia Lumia 900 by using the viewfinder of the handset’s rear shooter.
And today, word on the street is that the popular VoIP application Viber has finally become available for the Windows Phone platform but will be an exclusive for the Nokia Lumia 900 and other Lumia devices. With this nifty, little application, users of the Nokia Lumia 900 can now enjoy free voice calls and messaging on their handsets which iOS and Android users have been enjoying for the longest time. Although the Viber app will also be available to other non-Nokia Windows Phone handsets, they will only be limited to the application’s messaging features while the Nokia Lumia 900 4G will have its full range of features.
With Viber there is no need to import contacts, search for usernames or send invitations. Just select a contact and connect freely!

In other news, Viber also announced that it will release a messaging-only version of its app for Nokia’s S40 devices from the olden days along with versions for Bada and Symbian as well. As of the moment, there is no news yet if Viber plans to come out with a version of the app for Windows Phone 8 but if we are to hazard a guess, we are betting the farm that Viber will also become available for the new Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 handsets in the future.
