Enter the Music & Videos tile on your Nokia Lumia 900 home page and what do you see? Music, videos (of course), radio and marketplace. Oh, but what's that slap bang in the middle?
Yep, we often overlook the podcasts bit too. It's there though, and it's designed to help you keep on top of all your favourite podcast subscriptions. But how do you subscribe?
Step 1: Boot up Zune
In order to get those podcasts flowing to your Nokia Lumia 900, you'll need to hook it up to the Zune software on your PC. If you haven't got Zune installed, you can download it here.
Step 2: Add podcasts
Once Zune has booted up, head on over to the podcasts section. To add a subscription, click 'add a new podcast' and paste in the URL for your podcast of choice.
Step 3: Define the storage limits
If you're not careful you're going to be clogged up with podcasts in no time, so take a little time to set the storage limits for each podcast subscription. You might want to keep long form stuff around for a suitable occasion, but daily news updates can be jettisoned pretty quickly.
There you go. Easy. But what about us Mac owners? We don't get a version of Zune to call our own, unfortunately. What we do get is the Windows Phone 7 Connector, which might not be as pretty or fully featured, but is actually a bit faster.
You can also access and set up your podcast subscriptions from this program. In fact, you can synchronise your podcasts with your iTunes account, which is a pretty cool feature.
Of course, many people prefer to avoid computer-based solutions altogether, and just want to be able to pull in podcasts on the very device they use to listen.
